adding to my ever growing collection of cookbooks. the St. Michael/Marks & Spencers Chocolate Cooking 1984; first publication, is pure fun! most Canadians will recognize and recall the namesake... days gone by when one would shop at Marks & Sparks. the Betty Crocker Cookbook Special Edition adds to my Betty Crocker collection. many of the favourite recipes from the 1960's edition have been updated and mildly transformed. denoting "low-fat" recipes with substitutions and additions. i made the Lemon Poppyseed Cake. even though it was yummy, i enjoyed every morsel, it needed a bit more lemon flavour for my liking. last but not least the Noble Spud,1985; first publication, paying homage to the king of white starch. loads of potato recipes to cosy up to!
